Russian Piping Tips

      Recently, I became interested in Russian piping tips and decided to try them out. There are three types- nozzles, balls, and the basic tip. The nozzle is the most well-known, and it is often referred to as just a 'russian piping tip'.

This wasn't my idea at all, but I just wanted to show you the cute craft that my 2-year-old did with her homeschool co-op teacher.  Isn't this a cheery thing for all of this month's April showers?  She found the idea over at Delightfully Learning, (a wonderful site, by the way!)

Leftover Easter Egg Idea: The Pool!

When I saw the fun Easter egg sensory tub over at Et Tout Et De Rien the other day, I knew I was going to have to buy up some extra clearance Easter eggs this year.

Flowers on our Sticky Wall

We had fun with our sticky table a while back, and since then I've been inspired by Mama Smiles' post to do a sticky wall.

Since it's a beautiful Spring here in Texas with lots of bluebonnets, evening primrose, and paintbrush everywhere we drive, I thought it would be fun to make a sticky wall garden.

We used muffin liners for the flowers, and the girls had fun painting and coloring them.  Unfortunately, the liners flatten out quite a bit when you do this, but they still looked mostly "floral" even after they were smushed.

I cut stems and leaves out of construction paper and the girls had fun "planting" the flowers on the contact paper that I had taped on the wall.

I think they look kind of like hollyhocks!

Pressing Clover for St. Patrick's Day

It was a gorgeous morning here in Austin; so the girls and I headed out to our front yard to pick clover leaves and pressed them in an old book.  We'll be using them to make a St. Patrick's Day craft soon.
